Sony is working on foldable smartphone Xperia F

Samsung and Huawei were the first  smartphone manufacturers to launch their flagship folding smartphones earlier this year. a couple of different firms like  Motorola and Xiaomi are expected to launch folding smartphones before the end  of the year.

According to a brand new report out of China, Sony Mobile is planning to begin  with its 1st foldable smartphone next year. The smartphone can reportedly carry the Xperia F moniker, with the “F” standing for folding. it's within the early stages of development as reports coming out of China claim that the phone is ready to launch next year.

The screen can have Sony’s trademark 21:9 ratio and can use a flexible OLED panel from Samsung. It’s probably that this may  be a vertical folding style because the  Samsung and Huawei folding phones (which fold horizontally) have square aspect ratios.

According to the rumors, the Sony Xperia F can sport a 5G modem, which may be Sony’s 1st. Unless the company unleashes a 5G-connected Xperia at IFA, of course.

By the way, the Xperia one is currently on the market in Europe. Despite pulling out of the United States market (and others), the Xperia one appears to be on track to launch in the United States on july 12.
